SAVE initiative issues challenge to Airmen

Through the Securing Americans Value and Efficiency (SAVE) initiative, federal employees can submit cost-cutting ideas that can help agencies identify areas for improvement. The person with the idea voted best will personally meet with President Barack Obama. This year's deadline for submissions is July 29, 2011. WASHINGTON, D.C. --
The White House continues to challenge all federal employees to help identify areas where the military can cut wasteful spending. Over the past two years, 56,000 ideas have been submitted through the Securing Americans Value and Efficiency (SAVE) initiative.
This year's deadline for idea submissions is July 29, 2011. To submit ideas, visit the Office of Management and Budget website at
http://www.whitehouse.gov/save-award. Many of the best ideas will be included in the 2013 President's Budget submission. The person submitting the idea voted best among a top four selection will meet personally with President Obama. Read more about it
